Reporting into the regional Product Controller the successful candidate will be a key hire responsible for the production of daily P&L and associated balance sheet controls. The successful candidate will also take on responsibility for analysis and verification of Balance Sheet and PL and other reporting for Global Emerging Markets business in Russia. The candidate will work closely with colleagues in Finance, Front Office, Technology, Operations, Market Risk, Audit and Compliance. Responsibilities:
- Reporting and substantiation of daily P&L, including Estimate to Actual variance analysis.
- Financial Commentary for trading results, linking trading revenues to desk strategies and changes in market conditions.
- General ledger reconciliation and substantiation process.
- Front to back reconciliations. - Management reporting.
- Interact with Front Office and Operations colleagues along with business partners in Finance, Market Risk, Technology and Audit to meet strategic goals, improve efficiencies and to improve the P&L processes along with the overall control environment.
- Provide active input in identifying possible solutions as well as ensuring end-to-end implementation of the agreed plan.
- Provide inputs and actively participate in new products/systems implementation in the bank.

- University degree education in finance, accounting, or economics
- 3-5 years of the relevant product control experience with Russian or International Investment Bank
- Sound knowledge of accounting and reporting according to IFRS or US GAAP
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent PC skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, is a must
- Sound understanding of financial products (Fixed income, Derivatives) and their valuation methods
- Product control experience and knowledge of accounting processes/systems
- Assertive, results-oriented
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing)
- both Russian and English
- Proactive, able to respond to changing demands in a dynamic environment
- Able to work in team environment and develop solid working relationships
